We're Back

We're back in Florida! Marathon in the Florida Keys to be exact. Our boat is on the hard awaiting splashing. Marathon received a lot of rain in our absence. I was nervous checking the weather from Arkansas. When we arrived the boat yard proprietor told us that the yard had flooded, and that most boats incurred water damage from leakage in the rain.  So I was doubly excited when I went aboard and found no signs of leakage. After years of work and stress, it is exhilarating to see that replacing every piece of deck hardware, the windows, and rig ourselves, paid off.  The engine even kicked on first try. What a relief!

We should be splashed and anchored preparing sail the Keys by Christmas!  But in case I can't post before then, Merry Christmas!!
